Signs of the Times: News Headlines

The video about the 3rd temple is still being worked on, and I hope to have that done by Monday the 25th, so thanks for your patience, but in the meantime there are a couple of news headlines over the past few days that are worth paying attention to.

The first headline is about how America’s march toward Christian Nationalism continues slowly but surely, as the Texas Board of Education has voted to approve Bible curriculum in elementary schools.

A Rare Setback for Trump

In a somewhat surprising announcement today, Matt Gaetz said that he is withdrawing his name from consideration for attorney general in President-elect Trump’s second term.

According to Axios, Gaetz’s former congressional colleagues, in both parties, raised a collective cheer as Gaetz’s decision spares the House from a brutal fight over an Ethics Committee report on him and the Senate from an even bloodier battle over his nomination.

Trump Regains Power … Now What

In a result that has stunned many Americans, as well as those watching around the world, Donald Trump not only won the presidency overnight, but appears to have done so in a landslide. He not only won the popular vote, but will likely end up with well over 300 electoral college votes.

Even more, Republicans have seized control of the Senate and are on their way to do the same thing in the House of Representatives. All of this serves to put massive power into the hands of Donald Trump, who has vowed to use it.
