There are three news stories over the past few days that caught my eye, specifically because of how they could be related to Bible prophecy. I’ll put a link to the articles in the description below.
The first story deals with Donald Trump’s recent conversation with Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. This is reported by Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan in the New York Times. Haberman herself has a track record of getting inside information on Trump.
Trump’s conversation with MBS comes while the Biden administration is negotiating with the Saudis in an attempt to establish a lasting peace in the Middle East. These negotiations build on diplomatic ties between Israel and a number of Arab states started by the Trump administration’s Abraham Accords.
According to the article:
“If President Biden manages to clinch a trilateral megadeal — which would probably include a Saudi-Israeli peace agreement, an Israeli commitment to a two-state solution, a U.S.-Saudi defense treaty and U.S.-Saudi understandings on a civilian nuclear program in Saudi Arabia — he will need support from two-thirds of senators to ratify the U.S.-Saudi treaty. Mr. Trump, as the presumptive Republican nominee in firm command of his party, could potentially either block any deal or greenlight it for congressional Republicans.”
We know, however, that Donald Trump would NOT green light any such mega-deal, and that’s because we’ve already seen him torpedo a potential border deal in recent months. The Biden administration saw its efforts to take action on the border thwarted by Trump’s pressure on republicans.
Just like Trump wasn’t going to allow Biden to get any credit for resolving the border crisis, likewise he won’t allow Biden to be lauded for a mega-deal in the Middle East. It’s clear that Trump is now looking to undermine any current negotiations between the Saudis and the Biden Administration.
The bottom line is that if anyone is going to be praised for bringing a lasting peace to the Middle East, Donald Trump wants it to be Donald Trump.
The second story is on Axios, and deals with how NATO is taking various steps to protect itself from a potential Trump administration, since Donald Trump has repeatedly criticized the organization and even threatened to withdraw the US from the alliance.
Some of Trump’s rhetoric on NATO has been so over-the-top, it has stunned even those who were used to the way he speaks.
“Trump riffed in February that he’d ‘encourage’ Russia ‘to do whatever the hell they want’ to a NATO ally if the country wasn’t spending enough on defense — the latest and arguably most inflammatory in his long history of alliance-shaking rhetoric.”
This is one of those things we can see coming from a mile away, as when Trump returns to power, withdrawing from NATO will likely be at the top of his to-do list. He talked about it in his first term, but cooler heads prevailed. There won’t be any cooler heads in a second Trump term.
This would open the door for a stunning realignment of power blocs in the world, with NATO immediately becoming a shadow of its former self without the United States heading it up.
One such power bloc that would gain even more influence on the world scene is the BRICS alliance, now comprised of nine members: Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, and the United Arab Emirates.
Imagine the shock to the entire world if in 2025 Donald Trump announces that America is not only withdrawing from NATO, but it’s joining the BRICS alliance, thus renaming it ABRICS.
The third story deals with an investigative article from +972 Magazine into what is called “Lavender”, which is the AI machine directing Israel’s bombing spree in Gaza.
According to this stunning report, “The Israeli army has marked tens of thousands of Gazans as suspects for assassination, using an AI targeting system with little human oversight and a permissive policy for casualties.”
“… thousands of Palestinians — most of them women and children or people who were not involved in the fighting — were wiped out by Israeli airstrikes, especially during the first weeks of the war, because of the AI program’s decisions.”
Not only is this report a sobering look at the cold evil of AI, but if you’re looking for some insight into what’s actually happening in Gaza, without it being filtered by American media, I highly suggest checking out this article.
Finally, I just have a brief comment about the movie coming out on April 12th,, which is called “Civil War.” Other than the movie’s plot involving an alliance between Texas and California, everything else seems very, very possible.
Here’s the trailer for the movie, although if you don’t see it I had to remove it for copyright reasons, but there will still be a link in the description below.
What makes “Civil War” such a realistic movie is that it’s easy to see this actually happening. If Trump loses, a large part of this country will not take it lying down, especially as he will scream bloody murder.
And likewise, if he wins, there will be many, many people looking for a reason to attack the Trump government, one way or the other. No matter who wins in November, we’re likely to have some sort of a civil war, it’s just a matter of how bad it will be.
Thanks for watching and I’ll talk to you guys soon. ♦
