The Epstein Files Phase II: Protect the Boss

Last week there were several reports about how the Justice Department is in the midst of a chaotic effort to release more of the Epstein files, requiring an urgent review for the possible redaction of sensitive information.

As many as a thousand FBI agents are involved in this effort to review and release more files, and it is especially evident at the FBI’s flagship field office in New York, where the Epstein case has taken priority over all others.

A large number of the agents involved usually focus on national security matters, but have been redirected to this case in order to help help with the effort.

The push to release more files is coming from Attorney General Pam Bondi, and is in reaction to pressure from supporters of Donald Trump.

All of this comes about two weeks after Bondi handed out binders with Epstein case files to pro-Trump social media influencers at the White House – files that ultimately contained very little new information.

That move not only caught the White House off guard, but it outraged some Trump supporters, who had been promised that more details would be made public. Many of them turned on Bondi as a result.

But the way Bondi handled Phase 1 of the files, by releasing them only to pro-Trump media influencers, makes it clear where Phase 2 is headed. The next release is designed to destroy Trump’s enemies, while protecting him and his supporters.

So whenever Phase 2 comes out, which could be within the next couple of weeks, the DOJ’s enlisting of nearly one thousand FBI agents to review the files means that absolutely NOTHING incriminating of Trump or of prominent Trump supporters will be released.

And that’s because almost from the beginning of his first term, Donald Trump has been portrayed as a hero when it comes to fighting people just like Jeffrey Epstein – even though Epstein himself described Trump as his closest friend for 10 years.

So if you’re looking for the entire truth to be released in the next batch of Epstein files, that’s not going to happen. The Trump Administration has made it obvious over the past two months that they are going to go after Donald Trump’s enemies.

And the DOJ knows that. After all, the best way to show that you’re loyal to the boss is to protect him no matter what. ♦
