Channel Update: Stayin’ Alive

In yesterday’s short video, I talked about how my channel now has 2 strikes against it by YouTube, and how a channel is subject to deletion once it gets 3 strikes within a 90-day period. I didn’t really get into specifics, so here’s what happened.

1) The 2 strikes against my channel were for copyright infringement. Specifically, I used portions of videos from two other channels for two of my videos, and even though I thought it was Fair Use, it was not. YouTube removed those two videos at the request of the other two channels.

One of the videos dealt with just a superb review of the “God Bless the USA Bible”, and the other was an excellent documentary on Donald Trump. Both of those subjects, of course, fit in with the topic of my channel.

However, I’m not going to name either of those two channels, first because it was my fault for what happened, not theirs. And second, because they have really good channels! I certainly don’t want to convey anything negative toward them.

2) Some people suggested that I get a website, but I actually already do have one: it is Antichrist45.com, and I also have Antichist47.com, although that just redirects over to Antichrist45.com. In addition, I have a third very good domain name that I’ll be developing later this year, and I’ll give more info on that down the road.

3) Others asked if they could download my videos and put them on their channel – and the answer is yes, absolutely. Download them, share them, whatever you’d like to do. You will NOT receive a copyright claim from me if you do that. You have my permission to use my videos as you see fit. If anyone had received a copyright claim from me over the past few years, I’ve now retracted that claim, so you are free to download the videos again if you desire.

4) In order to make it less likely that YouTube gives me that third strike within 90 days, I have deleted a couple dozen videos that had some portion of another channel’s video within them. Although I do believe that my usage fell within the Fair Use guidelines, I didn’t want to take a chance. I will also be deleting another two dozen videos within the next week or two.

5) Lots of people suggested that, if YouTube deletes my channel, I should simply move to Substack or Rumble or even Truth Social, which would be pretty funny. All of those places, and many others, are possible and I’m still looking into my alternatives – if it comes down to that.

But just to clarify, my channel isn’t going to disappear overnight. YouTube allows a 7 day grace period, so at the very least I’ll be able to make an exciting video or two before exiting, and I’ll also be able to tell you where I’m going.
