A few days back, Trump released a statement on Truth Social about the Epstein Files and succeeded in turning many of his supporters against him.
Trump was basically arguing that the Epstein files were faked, which of course didn’t go over too well in MAGA World, as Trump and many in his administration have been talking about the Epstein files for quite a while.
Among the things Trump said in this post are:
“Why are we giving publicity to files written by Obama, crooked Hillary, Comey, Brennan, and the losers and criminals of the Biden administration? They created the Epstein files.”
“Cash Patel and the FBI must be focused on investigating voter fraud, political corruption, Act Blue, the rigged and stolen election of 2020 instead of spending month after month looking at nothing but the same old radical left inspired documents on Jeffrey Epstein.”
“One year ago, our country was dead. Now, it’s the hottest country anywhere in the world. Let’s keep it that way and not waste time and energy on Jeffrey Epstein, somebody that nobody cares about.”
Now, of course, a lot of people care about what happened with Jeffrey Epstein, and many of them are Trump supporters.
But with this post on Saturday, Trump basically said that the Epstein files are fake. You can’t trust them. They were made up by the radical left, who already tried to frame me in so many ways. We can’t let them do it again with the Epstein files.
However, now it appears that Trump is coming to the realization that he’s going to have to give his supporters something on the Epstein’s file. Today, he said about Attorney General Pam Bondi, whatever she thinks is credible, she should release.
And credible is the key word there because he again repeated today that the left had a hand in creating the Epstein files. So him using the word credible means that information about anyone else but him should be released.
And in fact that sounds exactly what might be happening today. Representative Ralph Norman said he believes Attorney General Pam Bondi has an independent party that’s looking at it.
Trump is ordering his attorney general to selectively choose certain parts of the Epstein files and release them in order to satisfy his MAGA base. anything in the Epstein file about him is not credible and should not be believed because the left was only trying to smear him.
So, I think what’s going to happen is pretty clear. The Trump administration in the next few weeks possibly is going to find quote credible unquote parts of the Epstein file.
Coincidentally, those parts that are to be released won’t have Trump’s name in them, won’t deal with other Republicans, won’t deal with any Republican mega donors or any other individual who might be a big part of MAGA World. This will all be aimed specifically at the left.
If that sounds all a bit too unbelievable for you, may I remind you that we’re dealing with a man who is incredibly vindictive, we have now had 10 years of watching him try to destroy his enemies, and he’s been successful in many cases.
Over the past week or so, we have seen the Trump administration totally mess things up when it came to the Epstein files. But now, it has fallen into Trump’s lap the perfect opportunity to destroy many of his political enemies.
And Donald Trump never misses an opportunity to destroy his enemies. ♦
