Let’s talk for a minute about a verse in the Bible which speaks about how the Antichrist will have extraordinary power in the last days, but it won’t be his own power. That verse is Daniel 8:24, and reads as follows: “And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power:”
Daniel 8:24 connects to 2 Thessalonians 2:9, which reads: “The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders.”
Putting these two verses together, we can see that the arrival of the Antichrist is accompanied by these things coming from Satan. The Antichrist is strong, but it’s not his own power.
In other videos I talked about how this demonic power “behind the scenes” is why Donald Trump just seems to get away with everything. From impeachments to the January 6th chaos, to even an assassin’s bullet missing his head by an inch.
This goes to even his health, which despite speculation by the political left, is NOT getting worse by the day. In fact, in the summer of 2024, Trump even bragged about feeling better than he has in 30 years.
Unfortunately, Trump having more energy than most people his age helps to reinforce the idea among his supporters that he was chosen by God. In their eyes, he is unstoppable because of Divine Providence.
But as we saw, the Bible teaches us that the final Antichrist gets his mighty power from Satan, not from God. This demonic force will make him appear to be unstoppable – until the day when Jesus stops him, once and for all. Coincidentally, that occurs just after the “last trump.”
However, I believe that there is also a dual meaning to Daniel 8:24, in that it not only refers to how demonic forces give the Antichrist his power, but how the Antichrist uses worldly power that is also not truly his own.
In Trump’s case, he is using the immense power of the United States – which is not his own – to threaten his enemies into submission.
Internationally, he has threatened other countries with America’s extreme military power, and used America’s astounding economic clout to force other nations to comply with what he wants.
Domestically, he is using the full power of the federal government in order to punish all of his political enemies, and to stifle the voices of those who oppose him or even criticize him.
The absolutely immense power of the United States does not personally belong to Donald Trump, and yet he is using this power in order to force his will upon others, both here in America and around the world.
What we are seeing is that the Antichrist is going out conquering right before our very eyes, and he’s doing this with a demonic power behind the scenes that allows him to overcome so much.
But he’s also conquering because of another evil worldly power that is not his own. That power belongs to the United States government. ♦
