Leaving MAGA World

Although I started this channel over 4 years ago, my suspicions about Donald Trump possibly being the Antichrist really go back to late 2016. I just had this uneasy feeling about him, even though I couldn’t explain it at the time. Something about him seemed … wrong.

It was just after he won the election that I really started to look into how much of a match he was for how the Bible described this figure. As it turned out, he matched a lot – an awful lot.

As the next couple of years went by, and the evidence for Trump being the Antichrist continued to pile up, I started to realize that I needed to speak out about this. Especially because so many Christians were viewing him as a man chosen by God.

Finally, in early 2020, I felt that I had a good understanding of Bible prophecy related to the Antichrist, and a solid grasp on how Trump lined up with the biblical descriptions. Thus I started this channel, and now have about 335 videos to date.

Over these last few years my channel has been blessed to have a number of very knowledgeable Christians who not only take the time to comment frequently, but also help to answer questions from new visitors, as well as handle trolls when the need arises.

But as the channel creator, and the guy whose voice and fingerprints are on every video, I’ve come to realize that there is one thing I can never do: I can never adequately explain what’s going on with Trump’s movement from the inside-out.

You see, I never voted for Trump. I was never deep into the Make America Great Again idea. I never supported the extreme patriotism that is going on in the church. All of my videos were looking at these things from the outside-in.

However, my channel is also fortunate enough to have a number of subscribers who DO have that experience. Christians who voted for Trump, or WERE a part of the MAGA movement, only to turn away as it felt antithetical to their Christian beliefs.

So, for those of you on here who used to support Trump, and who were into the whole MAGA movement, and perhaps even went to a Trump rally or two, I’d love to hear why you left the cult of personality surrounding Trump. Here’s why I’m asking.

I intend to do a video covering a few of the experiences of Christians who used to be all-in on Trump, but found a way to escape the delusion. That’s because I can’t make a video like that on my own; I don’t have that experience. But you do.

For those who care to participate, please leave a few paragraphs in the comments describing what your experiences were – both as a Trump supporter, and as one who is now looking back on what happened.

Please don’t write a book, so a few paragraphs ought to suffice. But your insights are more powerful than anything I can do, and I sincerely appreciate your taking the time to respond.

The video I intend to do will be out sometime this spring, and I fully believe that your insights will be very inspiring to other Christians who may need help to leave MAGA world once and for all.
