Riots in the Streets If Trump is Prosecuted? Or Would Biden Pardon Him First?

Over the weekend there was an interesting comment from Lindsay Graham, saying that if Trump is prosecuted then riots will ensue. Here’s a brief clip.

I have to say that I completely agree with Graham on this. There are tens of millions of Americans who are solidly in Trump’s corner, and MANY of them are already outraged at what they perceive as an effort to prevent Trump from running in 2024.

If and when Trump is indicted or arrested, you can be sure that many of those ultra-MAGA Americans will take some sort of action in his defense. Whether it’s riots or large protests or even attacks on government buildings, SOMETHING will happen.

And if a scenario such as Trump being indicted or arrested were to happen, we all KNOW that Trump would scream bloody murder on his Truth Social platform, and almost certainly call on his supporters to rise up in his defense. And they would.

And that brings up the potential that Biden might consider pardoning Trump before things ever get that far. Over the last couple of weeks I have seen a number of opinion articles, from both the left and the right, suggesting that might just happen.

And if the goal is to keep the nation from being fractured beyond all repair, and even to avert a possible civil war, then pardoning Trump would make a great deal of sense. Personally, I think the idea that Biden would pardon Trump might just happen.

That would free Trump to continue his vengeance tour, including his seeking the 2024 GOP presidential nomination. Trump is vengeful to an extreme, and even if pardoned he would strike back at all his enemies. He would view a pardon as a virtual carte blanche to do what he wants.

On that note, I wanted to mention one other quote from Graham in his interview. Check out this clip.

Now I certainly think that the left in this country is going after Trump in order to stop him from running in 2024, but Graham’s statement that when it comes to Trump that there is no law is truly remarkable in a couple of ways.

First, Trump’s entire presidency was above the law. He ignored congressional subpoenas, claimed executive privilege on all kinds of matters, stated he could pardon himself at anytime, and said that Article II of the constitution allowed him to do whatever he wanted.

Second, the statement that there is no law when it comes to Trump is almost exactly how the bible describes one of the character traits of the Antichrist. We read this in 2 Thessalonians:

“The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders.” – 2 Thessalonians 2:9

So the next time you hear about the law not applying to Trump, or that he’s above it in some way, remember that the bible gives us many descriptions of the Antichrist, and one of them is that he is “the lawless one.”
