In just a few weeks it will be five years since I started this channel, and over those five years I’ve made close to 600 videos, counting a few that YouTube decided to delete, in their infinite wisdom.
The majority of the videos have been about how Donald Trump lines up with the Biblical Antichrist. He simply matches the descriptions given to us in the Bible about this figure of the last days.
Often I would focus in on Trump’s disregard for the truth, which was a known trait of his for decades before even getting involved in politics. As the former mayor of New York Ed Koch once said, “I wouldn’t believe Donald Trump if his tongue were notarized.”
Many other videos dealt with how Trump simply needed to be glorified above other men, and even today Trump gave us another example of that, as he quoted a pastor telling him that he is definitely the greatest president of all time.
Tied into his constant self-glorification, Trump will also denigrate others at the drop of a hat. For instance, just yesterday he posted a childish rant about Jim Acosta, calling him a sleazebag and a loser, and that he has no talent and will fail no matter where he goes. Truly classy stuff.
But in all of my videos, I’m not sure if I’ve ever specifically talked about Trump’s extreme pettiness. About how he is just so consumed with trivial matters, that even the slightest insult brings out his spiteful nature. Here is just the latest example of this.
On Sunday night, Trump posted this on Truth Social:
“Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs. What a GREAT Team, Coach, Quarterback, and virtually everything else, including those fantastic FANS, that voted for me (MAGA!) in record numbers. Likewise, congratulations to the Buffalo Bills on a tremendous season. They will do a lot of winning long into the future!!!”
Trump is, of course, making a point to congratulate the Chiefs because he perceives their fans as being huge Trump supporters. Perhaps the stadium being filled with red had something to do with that, too.
And indeed, the state of Missouri did overwhelmingly vote for Trump in the 2024 election, as he received more than 58% of the vote compared to just 40% for Harris. This resulted in Trump getting all 10 of Missouri’s electoral votes.
Trump also congratulated the Buffalo Bills for a great season, but didn’t mention anything about how they voted since the state of New York voted overwhelmingly for Harris. But here’s where it gets a bit interesting: there were two other teams that also played on Sunday
In that other game, the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Washington Commanders to send the Eagles to the Superbowl against the Kansas City Chiefs. Yet there wasn’t any congratulations for either of those two teams by Trump.
Now, one reason is obvious, in that neither Philadelphia nor Washington DC voted overwhelmingly FOR Trump. In fact, Philadelphia saw nearly 79% of the vote go to Harris, while in Washington DC it was a whopping 90%.
But there’s also another reason that Trump deliberately didn’t congratulate the Philadelphia Eagles. You see, Donald Trump and the Philadelphia Eagles have a bit of history.
On February 4th, 2018, the Philadelphia Eagles beat the New England Patriots to win their first Superbowl ever. In the days and weeks to come, the Eagles and their passionate fans celebrated with a huge parade and various other festivities.
About three months later, on May 17th of 2018, then President Donald Trump invited the Eagles to the White House to be honored on June 5th. This is exactly what Trump had done the year before when he hosted the Superbowl champion New England Patriots.
But then, something happened. On June 4th, 2018, the day before the Eagles were scheduled to visit the White House, Trump announced that he was canceling their invitation.
According to Trump, it was because the Eagles disagreed “with their President because he insists that they proudly stand for the National Anthem, hand on heart, in honor of the great men and women of our military and the people of our country.”
However, that wasn’t true. While many players in the NFL were taking a knee during the national anthem that season, no player on the Philadelphia Eagles did so.
Rather, the actual reason for Trump dis-inviting the Philadelphia Eagles one day before their scheduled visit to the White House was because he was told that only a handful of players were actually going to come. Trump took that as a slight against him, and he was not going to be embarrassed.
But it got even crazier. Trump then held his own “Eagles celebration” in which 1,000 very well dressed people showed up to the White House. Multiple media outlets took pictures that day, and yet found only one person who actually had an Eagles jersey – and he wasn’t even wearing it.
So seven years after Trump dis-invited the Eagles to the White House because of a perceived slight, he is back in the White House, and the Eagles are back in the Superbowl. Yet, although he congratulated the Kansas City Chiefs, no such congratulations was forthcoming to the Eagles.
That is how long Trump is holding this grudge. Seven years. But here’s thing: If the Eagles win the Superbowl in two weeks, what are the odds that Trump will actually invite them again? Would he risk them not coming to the White House and embarrassing him one more time?
It’s extremely doubtful, because the extreme pettiness of Trump is at the heart of all that he says and does.
No slight is too small for him to ignore.
No person is too small for him to denigrate.
And no rejection of him will be left unpunished … no matter how long it takes. ♦
