Trump Compared to Jesus (again)

On Truth Social, Donald Trump just posted a message he received from a die-hard supporter, which reads: “It’s ironic that Christ walked through His greatest persecution the very week they are trying to steal your property from you. But have you seen this verse…?”

The message then goes on to quote Psalm 109, verses 3 to 8:

“They have also surrounded me with words of hatred,
And fought against me without a cause.
In return for my love they are my accusers,
But I give myself to prayer.
Thus they have rewarded me evil for good,
And hatred for my love.
Set a wicked man over him,
And let an accuser stand at his right hand.
When he is judged, let him be found guilty,
And let his prayer become sin.
Let his days be few,
And let another take his office”

This Trump supporter ends the message with these words:

“I’m praying this over you daily. So many praying for you. Thank you again for taking the arrows intended for us. We love you”

Here we have yet another example of Trump supporters comparing him to Jesus – literally as him taking all the slings and arrows for us. As suffering for our sins.

And once again Trump agrees with the characterization, even thanking the person for comparing his struggles to those of Christ. Make no mistake, Trump LOVES it when he is spoken of in the same breath as Jesus.

Christian Trump supporters need to wake up to the fact that they helping to create a False Christ. ♦
