Trump Grifts off of Attempted Assassination

Donald Trump is never one to miss an opportunity to ask his supporters for money, and yesterday’s apparent assassination attempt gave him another chance to do just that.

Earlier today on Truth Social, Trump posted a link for his supporters to give money, and if you click on that link, the first thing you’ll see is a popup notification with a message that might seem a bit strange.

Let’s look at that message.

“I am Donald J. Trump.

FEAR NOT!”

If you recognize that as sounding a bit familiar, you’re probably thinking of Isaiah 41:10.

“Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.”
Isaiah 41:10

Trump then goes on to say …

“I am safe and well, and no one was hurt. Thank God!”

In case you weren’t sure, Trump wants you to know that God IS protecting him. That message is specifically aimed at evangelicals. Trump then continues:

“But, there are people in this world who will do whatever it takes to stop us.”

Here Trump is suggesting that, since God is protecting him, those who oppose him are opposing God.

Trump next says: “I will not stop fighting for you. I will Never Surrender!”

Trump is letting all of us know that he is our superhero. He is the one who will save us. In case that message wasn’t clear enough, today Trump said this to Fox News Digital:

“Their rhetoric is causing me to be shot at, when I am the one who is going to save the country, and they are the ones that are destroying the country – both from the inside and out.”

“I will always love you for supporting me.”

If you want Donald Trump to love you, you HAVE to support him. After all, he’s made it clear that he hates those who don’t support him.

“Through our UNITY we will Make America Great Again!”

By unity, Trump means the unity of those who support him. It’s not an effort to stop being divisive on his part, or to bring our country together. It’s a statement that by standing together, Trump supporters can destroy all of those who oppose HIM.
