Is Trump Too Obvious to Be the Antichrist?

Over the nearly 3 years I’ve had this channel, I’ve heard all kinds of arguments against Trump being the Antichrist – from those who are convinced the Antichrist will be gay and Muslim, to others who think that Trump was chosen by God to lead America during the end times.

Some people skip the religious argument and go straight to the political. In their view, the very fact that I say Trump is the Antichrist means I’m working for George Soros! All I can say to that is I guess the check is still be in the mail. Maybe 3 years of checks will show up tomorrow, but we’ll see.

But aside from those arguments, one of the more fascinating objections to Trump being the Antichrist is that he’s simply too much of an obvious fit.

According to this argument, Trump lines up TOO perfectly with how the bible describes the Antichrist, and since we know that Satan is a deceiver, we should expect that Satan would look to distract us from the REAL Antichrist by making another man “appear” to be him.

Those who hold the idea that Trump is too obvious to be the Antichrist also usually have someone specifically in mind as who he really is, which are the usual suspects – and you can probably guess who they are.

But looking at this idea a bit closer, we can actually see that there are a couple of basic flaws.

The first flaw is that we would still need to go by how the bible describes the Antichrist. So, if Trump isn’t the Antichrist then it’s going to be someone just like Trump. We would need to find another figure who matches those biblical descriptions up and down the board, just like Trump does.

And the problem with that scenario is, if Trump is too obvious to be the Antichrist, then the next person would ALSO be too obvious since they would ALSO need to be a perfect match for how the bible describes this figure.

By the way and in case you haven’t noticed, Trump is a singular figure on the world scene, and there simply aren’t other men just like Trump running around. No one else on the world scene is such a perfect match for the biblical Antichrist quite like Trump is.

The second flaw with the idea that Trump is too obvious to be the Antichrist is that it gives Satan the power to obscure or cloud God’s prophecy. By this logic, any prophecy in the bible could potentially be misleading us as Satan mimics its fulfillment.

That, of course, is the height of absurdity. The very reason that the bible is full of prophecy, and especially filled with descriptions of the final Antichrist, is so that we do not follow the Man of Sin down the Road to Perdition.

If we give Satan this power to mimic God’s prophecy we would be reaching the point where we believe prophecy is not 100% reliable and true. Instead, Satan would hold the ultimate power as to whether he’s misleading us in one direction or the other.

The truth is, however, that God’s prophetic word IS perfect, and IS 100% reliable. When we see how one man perfectly lines up with prophecies about the Antichrist, it’s because he IS the man the bible was warning us about.

So, in case you’re wondering: Donald J. Trump isn’t too obvious to be the Antichrist. Instead, he’s exactly what he appears to be.
