Trump’s Mockery of Bible Prophecy

Just over eight years ago, on June 16, 2015, Donald Trump descended a golden escalator down to the basement of Trump Tower to announce his candidacy for president.

The crowd in attendance that day largely consisted of people who were paid to be there, to hold up signs supporting Trump, and to cheer wildly at his every word.

At the time, it felt like little more than a curiosity to the media in attendance. A campaign for president that wasn’t to be taken TOO seriously because, after all, Trump didn’t stand a chance of winning his own party’s primary, let alone the general election.

But little did America – or the world – understand the seismic changes that would come from Trump’s announcement on that day. Nothing would ever be the same again.

During the eight years to follow, Trump would remake the GOP into his own image. He said things and acted in ways that were completely unlike any president in history. He denigrated his opponents like no one had before, often behaving in childish and incredibly petty ways.

Trump’s callous disregard for the truth single-handedly brought terms such as “post-truth” and “truth decay” into our everyday lexicon. He was simply a force of nature unlike anything we had ever seen in the American political arena.

And although his opponents attacked him daily, he somehow became even stronger among his supporters. They viewed him as being persecuted. A brave man who is taking the arrows for us, in order to defend this country. In their eyes, Trump gave up everything for us.

After he lost the 2020 election, his supporters began to see him as the only one who can save America. Somehow, they must get him back into power so he can make America – and everything else – great again.

Eight years after that ride down the golden escalator, Trump still dominates the news cycle like no one else has ever done. This despite his being out of power for nearly three years now, and facing a myriad of legal problems.

However, in what is simply a stunning development to many who study politics, Trump’s legal problems have actually made him stronger politically – and more likely to find a path back to the White House in 2024.

This is primarily because the tens of millions of voters who support Trump will not believe ANY accusation made against him, as in their view Trump is being persecuted by those who do not want to see him return to power.

Even the large number of former Trump officials who have publicly come out and criticized Trump as being unfit for office has not resulted in him losing support in the slightest.

But in addition to those who will stand by Trump no matter what, even if he burns the Constitution in the middle of 5^th Avenue, things are also lining up for him in many other ways.

For example, there are now a plethora of GOP candidates who have announced their intentions to seek the 2024 republican nomination. Rather than taking away support from Trump, these other candidates actually do little more than battle over getting a portion of the remaining votes.

The one opponent of Trump’s who might be a bit of a dark horse is Chris Christie, who holds the distinction of being the only GOP candidate who has gone after Trump by name, and repeatedly called him out for his poor judgment, thin skin, and outright lies.

Interestingly, Christie also has the odd characteristic of having the word “Christ” twice in his name, which makes it rather coincidental that he’s going up against the man who matches the biblical descriptions for the Antichrist.

Several of the republican candidates seeking the GOP’s nomination for 2024 have also promised to pardon Trump should he be convicted of mishandling classified documents, or possibly even obstruction.

Of course, none of them actually stand a chance to become president, but their statements about pardoning Trump SHOULD they become president speak volumes about who is the once and future King of the GOP.

Not to be outdone, also helping Trump is the fact that Joe Biden continues to look and act like an elderly man who is in serious cognitive decline. He’s also facing pressure from within his own party with RFK Jr. polling much better against him than any of the republican candidates are against Trump.

Interestingly, last month supporters of RFK Jr.’s presidential bid created a Super PAC titled Heal the Divide. There’s nothing unusual about a candidate getting a Super PAC, except in this case the creators of RFK Jr’s Super PAC are very much pro-Donald Trump.

But in addition to RFK Jr., Biden and the far left continue to promote policies that most of America strongly disagrees with, such as gender affirming care for minors, and allowing adult men who transition to female to compete in women’s sports.

Then, as if republicans diluting the anti-Trump vote, and Biden’s feebleness, and the Left’s extreme policies, and the RFK Jr. candidacy, weren’t all enough… we have the efforts by the No Labels group to put forth an alternative to Trump or Biden.

All of these things have the net effect of either driving more support TOWARD Trump, or greatly diluting the efforts AGAINST Trump, resulting in his becoming an even stronger and more viable candidate in 2024.

On top of all of that, there is something even more ominous that’s been happening as of late. In the past few weeks we have seen and heard Trump using language that would seem to mock bible prophecy.

A few weeks back he posted on Truth Social that he will bring peace to the world, which, coincidentally I’m sure, is similar to how the Antichrist will promote his covenant with many as finally bringing us peace and security.

Then, after his latest indictment, Trump posted that his campaign had raised more than $6.6 million, which the New York Post helpfully added was achieved in six days.

Then we had Trump referencing 2024 as the “final battle” in speeches, and using the words “final battle” to solicit donations. Such words, of course, resonate with his Evangelical supporters who see him as a force for good in the battle of good vs. evil.

And then Trump made a curious reference to his supporters as being a small group, which is fascinating since Daniel 11:23 specifically tells us that the Antichrist will become strong with a small group of people. Here’s that clip.

If all of that wasn’t enough, we had Trump making several references to the “seal being broken,” which many took to understand that he was referencing the bible.

But perhaps Trump’s biggest mockery of the bible was in a Truth Social post after he was indicted. In that post, Trump said the following:

“AMERICA WENT TO SLEEP LAST NIGHT WITH TEARS IN ITS EYES. SOMEDAY SOON, HOWEVER, IT WILL BE ABLE TO WIPE AWAY THOSE TEARS AND SMILE, BIGGER THAN EVER BEFORE, FOR WE WILL HAVE DEFEATED THE RADICAL LEFT MARXISTS, FASCISTS, COMMUNISTS, LUNATICS, & DERANGED MANIACS, & CLEARED THE PATH TO PUT AMERICA FIRST & THEN, QUICKLY, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”

In case that sounds vaguely familiar to you, the bible actually says this: “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”

What makes it unnerving about Trump’s post that America will wipe away its own tears is that Trump and his supporters have repeatedly conflated America WITH Trump. He is basically saying that HE will wipe away every tear.

In fact, just yesterday on Truth Social, Trump posted a link to an article on DCenquirer.com, a pro-Trump site, in which the author states this: “Loyalty to Trump is loyalty to the United States Constitution.”

We can plainly see that this ultra-patriotism that is spreading like a virus throughout Christianity, is not just the idolatry of a country, but combines that with the cult of personality surrounding Trump. The view is that Trump is America and America is Trump.

And when this idolatry of America and adulation of Trump is combined with viewing him as being persecuted, the end result is that his supporters will do whatever it takes to restore him to power, and eventually do anything he asks.

After all, in the eyes of those who love him, Trump is taking all the slings and arrows for us. He has sacrificed everything for us. They’re coming after him, and yet he is innocent. He is blameless.

He is our savior.
