Donald Trump and Daniel 8:25

I want to revisit a Bible verse that I’ve spoken about before in several other videos, and that verse is Daniel 8:25, which reads as follows in the King James: “And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.”

But another translation of this verse that I like is the Holman Christian Standard Bible, which sounds exactly like Donald J. Trump. “He will cause deceit to prosper through his cunning and by his influence, and in his own mind he will make himself great. He will destroy many in a time of peace; he will even stand against the Prince of princes. Yet he will be shattered—not by human hands.”

In a video from about a year ago I covered just a few of the ways that Donald Trump was specifically causing deceit to prosper under his rule in just the first couple of months of his second term. A few of the headlines from early in 2025 included:

Trump freezes U.S. law banning bribery of foreign officials Trump administration orders consumer protection agency to stop work, closes building Justice Department orders charges against NYC Mayor Eric Adams dismissed SEC halts fraud prosecution of Chinese national who sent Trump millions State Department halts global air pollution monitoring program US drops lawsuit against shelter provider alleging sexual abuse of migrant kids Trump agencies drop dozens of Biden-era cases against crypto, other companies USAID official tells staffers: Shred and burn your documents Trump administration eyes cuts to Justice Department public corruption unit Pentagon closing offices focused on reducing civilian casualties People Are Paying Millions to Dine With Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago US Justice Department cuts database tracking federal police misconduct

The Antichrist causing deceit to prosper makes perfect sense, of course, because he is all about deception – even to the point where he has deceived Christians into thinking that he is a defender of the faith.

But here is why all of this matters: The verse about making deceit to prosper reinforces the fact that in the Antichrist kingdom, deception and money will be intertwined. Remember that the Bible directly connects the love of money to evil. The Mark of the Beast is also connected to buying and selling.

So, here is why I’m again referencing the verse in Daniel about how the Antichrist will make deceit to prosper through his cunning and by his influence.

As we remember, Donald Trump sued the IRS and the Treasury Department for $10 billion back in January of this year. That immediately raised red flags because the president ultimately oversees the IRS, so Trump would be able to determine how much he gets paid in any settlement.

Coincidentally, the Justice Department is now discussing how to settle Trump’s $10 billion lawsuit. Among the options being discussed is whether the settlement would include a provision that the IRS drop audits of Trump and members of his family, as well as audits of the family’s businesses.

Reportedly, Trump will drop his $10 billion lawsuit against the IRS in exchange for the creation of a fund that will pay up to $1.7 billion to some of his political allies, including people involved with the January 6 Capitol riot.

The creation of the commission was decided on after DOJ officials originally unsuccessfully attempted to craft a legal justification for the settlement to compensate Trump directly.

That plan was ultimately discarded in favor of the $1.776 billion compensation fund – a figure being a nod to the nation’s founding.

The “Truth and Justice Commission” would reportedly be set up with five commissioners, four to be appointed by the attorney general. It would face no obligation to disclose the process for awarding the nearly $2 billion that would be at its disposal.

Reports are that while Trump cannot receive money directly, entities associated with the president would be eligible, and DOJ lawyers believe the deal would not need to include approval from the court.

The net result is a $1.776 billion dollar slush fund that Trump allies will share, including entities connected directly to Trump.

The Bible teaches us that the Antichrist will make deceit to prosper through his cunning and by his influence – and this is precisely what Donald J. Trump has been doing since Day One. To put it another way, the Antichrist is a conman. ♦
