The Top 10 Objections to Trump Being the Antichrist

It’s been nearly seven years since I’ve started this channel, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned is that there are quite a few reasons that people believe that Trump can NOT be the Antichrist. Coincidentally, I’m sure, these same people will usually ignore the reasons that he COULD be the Antichrist.

But let’s go through the ten most common objections that have been raised over the years, and talk about how if we look at them a bit closer, they really don’t hold water. These are in no particular order, by the way.

#1) The world will love the Antichrist and too many people hate Trump – THIS IS NOT TRUE. The Bible does NOT say that the Antichrist will be a beloved figure. In fact, it calls him a “vile person”, which means he is sordid, crass and vulgar. The world is REPULSED by him, which is basically the opposite of his being loved. The idea that the Antichrist is loved comes from the Left Behind books and movies, which promotes the false idea that he will be a young, charismatic, brilliant, and beloved figure. None of those things are actually in the Bible.

#2) Trump is not smart enough to be the Antichrist – THIS IS NOT TRUE. Evil comes in all shapes, sizes, colors and degrees of intelligence. Importantly, Trump isn’t as idiotic as many people think. For one thing, he’s VERY conniving, so he didn’t get where he is by being an idiot. Coincidentally, the Bible teaches us that the Antichrist understands “dark sentences” (Dan 8:23). This means _scheming or machinations_ and it’s perfectly in-line with what Trump does. It’s also important to remember that one doesn’t have to be brilliant to be evil. Rather, just a willingness to deceive others – and even harm others – for one’s own glory.

#3) Trump is too old to be the Antichrist – THIS IS NOT TRUE. Trump’s age really isn’t a factor, as the Bible teaches us that the Antichrist is empowered by Satan in the last days. See Daniel 8:24 and 2 Thess 2:9-10. This means that Trump might very well seem MORE energetic than ever over the coming few years. Also, I should note, Trump’s father was 93 years old and his mother 88 years old when they passed away, so his living another ten years or so is perfectly in line with his family history. It’s also plenty of time for all Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

#4) Lots of other people also match these descriptions – THIS IS NOT TRUE. Lots of other people match SOME of these descriptions, but no one else matches ALL of them except for Trump. For example, people like Obama or Putin or even Hitler are not beloved by the Jews, nor do they have a middle east covenant. These are two descriptions of the Antichrist, and Trump lines up with them both.

#5) Trump has proclaimed the name of Jesus – THIS IS NOT TRUE. Trump specifically said he does NOT seek God’s forgiveness. This means that anything he says about Jesus is insincere since he doesn’t really think he needs a savior. When Trump says the name “Jesus” he is pandering to his Christian audience. In fact, Trump will OFTEN pander to those who praise him. For example, here he is holding up an LGBT flag at one of his rallies a few years back: https://tinyurl.com/yztcz6fj

#6) Trump is fighting evil, so he can’t be the Antichrist – THIS IS NOT TRUE. This objection is based on Matthew 12:26, but it’s a greatly misunderstood verse. The verse is all about Jesus, and is a reference to how JESUS was accused of casting out demons in the name of Beelzebub. It certainly doesn’t mean that anyone who may fight against one kind of evil is thereby good. In fact, history is rife with examples of evil warlords fighting one another. Ffor example, Hitler and Nazi Germany at war with Stalin and the Soviet Union during WW2. The Bible also CLEARLY teaches us that Satan disguises himself as an angel of light (2 Cor 11:14) and that the Antichrist comes with the working of Satan (2 Thess 2:9). The Antichrist is a deceiver, so we should expect that he will portray himself as a defender of the faith, and one who is looking out for us. Remember, just because there is a great deal of evil on the Left, doesn’t mean that the Right is somehow good. Or that Trump is. More importantly, Trump ISN’T fighting evil. He’s fighting those who oppose HIM or who have come against HIM for some reason. He’s fighting the enemies of Donald Trump.

#7) The Antichrist comes out of the Middle East – THIS IS NOT TRUE. This false idea is based on the prophecy of the Assyrian, but the Bible teaches us that the Assyrian and the Antichrist have two completely different fates. The Assyrian is crushed on the mountains of Jerusalem, per Isaiah 14:25, while the Antichrist is cast ALIVE into the lake of fire, per Rev 19:20. They also serve two different purposes: the Assyrian is used by God as the “rod of My anger” against ONE nation, and then is destroyed by God. See Isaiah 10:5-6 and Isaiah 10:12. This is simply not the case with the Antichrist, who eventually rules the entire world – every tribe, people, language and nation – for 3 1/2 years before meeting his fate, per Rev 13:7. Importantly, the Antichrist will arise from within the faith. He is responsible for those who fall away from the faith as they fall TOWARD him. He perverts the faith with another gospel – a gospel all about the things of this world. No Christian is falling away from the true faith and toward an Islamic Antichrist. Instead, they fall toward a false gospel.

#8) The Rapture happens before the Antichrist is revealed – THIS IS NOT TRUE. I haven’t spoken about the timing of the rapture very often on my channel for two main reasons. First because it is a very divisive issue with many Christians, and I have no desire to cause more division. Second, and more importantly, it is not a salvation issue. No one is being denied entrance into the Kingdom of God because they had the timing of the rapture wrong. However, the Bible does teach us that we will be here when the Antichrist and False Prophet are revealed. Rather than going into a lengthy explanation of this, a couple of years back I made a video that shows an easy way for us to know that the rapture does NOT happen before the tribulation. A link to that video is up top and also in the description area below.

#9) King Charles is the Antichrist – THIS IS NOT TRUE. King Charles is simply a very poor match for the biblical Antichrist. For starters, we’re told in Daniel 11:21 that the Antichrist will NOT be given the honor of royalty, which rules out royal families. Also, family crests are NOT a reliable way to determine whether someone matches the biblical Antichrist. There have been many, many family crests over the centuries, and quite a number of them share similar imagery such as dragons, lions, horns, and so on. Importantly, biblical imagery stands for specific things such as kings and kingdoms down through history, and they have nothing to do with what might appear on a family’s coat of arms. In addition, the idea that “Charles, Prince of Wales” adds up to 666 in Gematria, thus proving King Charles is the Antichrist, is absurd. First, because there were TWO other men named Charles who were the Prince of Wales. Why weren’t they the Antichrist? Second, because Gematria is numerology. It’s all Kabbalah, or Jewish mysticism. No Christian should be involved in Gematria. Finally, we should remember that King Charles has no real world power. His power is ceremonial only, and he’s simply not able to command armies or world politics or economies.

#10) The Antichrist won’t desire women – THIS IS NOT TRUE. Daniel 11:37 is often taken WAY out of context from the surrounding verses. The entire passage runs from verse 36 to verse 39, and God or gods is mentioned 8 different times. The context of the verses surrounding Daniel 11:37 make it clear that the ENTIRE teaching is how the Antichrist will place himself above all other gods, including the true God. It’s all about how the Antichrist will exalt and magnify himself. In addition, the “desire” in verse 37 belongs to the women not to the Antichrist. It is saying that the Antichrist won’t regard what WOMEN desire, not that he won’t desire THEM. Finally, simply by checking other translations, we can understand that the “desire of women” is specifically referring to the *gods* that women worship. For example, here are just three of those other translations:

“He will show no regard for the gods of his fathers, nor for the one desired by women, nor for any other god, because he will magnify himself above them all.” – Berean Study Bible

“He will not show regard for the gods of his ancestors, the god desired by women, or for any other god, because he will magnify himself above all.” – Christian Standard Bible

“He will not show regard for the gods of his fathers, the god longed for by women, or for any other god, because he will magnify himself above all.” – Holman Bible

That’s the whole point of this passage. The Antichrist won’t care about the God of his fathers, he won’t care about the god preferred by women, he won’t care about any other god, because he considers himself to be above them all.
