Christian vs. Christian: Non-Salvation Issues Are Dividing the Church

Today I’d like to take a minute to talk about a number of comments on some recent videos of mine, and how I believe a lot of us are getting off track by arguing over non-salvation issues. Here’s what I mean.

In recent videos I touched on subjects such as the rapture and signs in the sun, moon and stars. What I didn’t anticipate was the amount of in-fighting I’ve seen among Christians regarding the timing of the rapture or the shape of the earth.

I shouldn’t have been too surprised, though, as over the last couple of years I have seen many comments that flat-out state that someone must believe in a pre-tribulation rapture or they don’t have the Holy Spirit. Similar comments were also made about the post-tribulation rapture.

Likewise, the subject of whether the earth is flat, or if outer space itself is real, has turned into a very divisive topic – often causing many Christians to argue among themselves as if one’s eternal fate depended on it.

And that’s my point: These things are NOT salvation issues, and we need to stop acting like those who disagree with our beliefs on these issues are not REALLY Christian or that they could end up not being saved.

NO ONE is going to be denied entry into the Kingdom of God because they had the timing of the rapture wrong, the shape of the earth incorrect, or they think that the planets and stars really DO exist.

It is by grace we are saved through faith. You can read that for yourself in Ephesians 2:8. Notice that the bible does NOT say by grace we are saved through faith, but you’d also better be correct about the timing of the rapture or the shape of the earth.

Now, I certainly understand that there are issues we feel passionate about. I certainly feel passionate about my belief that Trump is the Antichrist. I’m 100% convinced of that, as I’ve said repeatedly in my videos.

But no one is going to be denied entry into the Kingdom of God because they weren’t convinced that Trump is the Antichrist. And I’d better not imply that in any of my videos, because if I did I’d be adding to the word of God.

And that’s something we all need to be careful about. We should not, under any circumstances, add stipulations to what the bible says about our salvation.

This is not like software you download and you see pages of small print at the end, where you check the “I agree” box to complete the installation, even though you didn’t REALLY read all the fine print.

When we read that we are saved by grace through faith, that’s it. There is not a tiny asterisk after the verse, referring us to the fine print which says we must ALSO believe in a flat earth and pre-tribulation rapture. Or a post-tribulation rapture, for that matter.

Too many of us are arguing over things that are NOT salvation issues. This is EXTREMELY divisive in the church.

Here’s the bottom line: Believe in the Lord Jesus as your savior, and you will be saved by the grace of God. There are no stipulations beyond that.

That’s all I wanted to say in this video. Thank you for taking the time to watch, and I hope everyone has a good weekend. I’ll talk to you guys soon. ♦
