Although it is also the title of a 1962 novel by Ray Bradbury, and a 1983 Disney movie, which was based on the novel.
In MacBeth, the line “By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes” is uttered by one of three witches, and it’s in reference to King MacBeth about to return to them. In Shakespeare’s play, MacBeth had turned into a wicked man – something that the witches themselves had helped to create.
