There was an interesting story on Axios yesterday detailing how many stores have been installing what are called “reverse ATMs” – which dispense store-value cards in exchange for paper money.

A regular ATM, of course, gives US money when we put in our debit or credit card, but reverse ATM’s do the exact opposite. These machines take OUR paper money and give us a prepaid plastic card in return.

The net result of this is that there is less cash in circulation with consumers, as the average citizen is slowly weaned off of paper money in favor of using a prepaid plastic card.

In a Truth Social post today, Donald Trump referenced the unpardonable sin, although he seems to define it a bit differently than does the bible. Here is what he said.

“For all of those media fools who say everything was on the up and up with the 2020 Presidential Election, and then go on to report about the 51 Intelligence Agents that wrote a letter spreading Disinformation about Hunter Biden’s famous laptop computer, knowing it was FAKE & TREASONOUS, just days before the Election, you have committed an unpardonable SIN. That election fraud is no different than Stuffing the Ballot Boxes, or any other of the many crimes committed in the 2020 Election. So Sad!”

A couple of days ago a video entitled “Is Donald Trump the Antichrist?”, appeared on the YouTube channel iThink Biblically. That particular video aims to debunk the idea that Trump could be the Antichrist, and it uses one of my old videos to make its case.

The gentleman on the iThink Biblically channel is named Caleb, who seems like a nice enough fellow, and the video he chose to critique was an older video of mine entitled “Donald J. Trump is the Antichrist – Proof from the Bible.”

In an interview with Tucker Carlson this week, Donald Trump once again demonstrated his affinity for many of the world’s authoritarian figures. This time, the subject was President Xi of China, Vladimir Putin of Russia, and Kim Jong Un of North Korea.

In this just the latest chapter of his complimenting foreign dictators, Trump didn’t focus on what he perceived as their toughness or how loyal their generals were to them, or even their military parades – but rather on how amazingly intelligent they are.

The big news yesterday was that classified documents were found at the home of former vice-president Mike Pence, making him at least the second former vice-president to have classified documents in his possession. Which is, of course, very good news for Trump.

The fact that now both Joe Biden AND Mike Pence have been found to have possessed classified documents while vice-president means one thing: there is no way that Donald J. Trump will ever be charged for HIS possession of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago.

Over the nearly 3 years I’ve had this channel, I’ve heard all kinds of arguments against Trump being the Antichrist – from those who are convinced the Antichrist will be gay and Muslim, to others who think that Trump was chosen by God to lead America during the end times.

Some people skip the religious argument and go straight to the political. In their view, the very fact that I say Trump is the Antichrist means I’m working for George Soros! All I can say to that is I guess the check is still be in the mail. Maybe 3 years of checks will show up tomorrow, but we’ll see.

But aside from those arguments, one of the more fascinating objections to Trump being the Antichrist is that he’s simply too much of an obvious fit.

If you ask most Christians today to describe the character traits that the final Antichrist will have, you’ll likely hear such terms as young and attractive, widely beloved, very charismatic and even brilliant.

And yet if asked where in the bible can those descriptions be found, most of these same Christians would be at a loss for words. But there’s a very good reason for that, and that’s because the majority of Christians today are NOT getting much of their theology from the bible.

Instead, they’re getting it from fictionalized accounts of the end times, most especially the widely popular Left Behind books and movies. They excitedly collect, read and talk about each book in the Left Behind series as if it were gospel – meanwhile their bible sits in the corner gathering dust.

Here’s a short quiz about an important biblical figure. See if you can guess who this is, based on the following seven descriptions.

Number one: He was unjustly persecuted.

Number two: He spoke only the truth.

Number three: He was God’s chosen one.

Number four: He gave up his life for ours.

Number five: We await his second coming.

Number six: He will harshly judge those who are evil.

Number seven: He is our savior.

Can you guess? If you said “Jesus Christ”, you would be wrong. Those seven descriptions are actually how Donald J. Trump has been described by his supporters.

And in case you were wondering what made this a bible quiz, well it turns out that the bible gives us many descriptions of the Antichrist, and each and every one of them points directly at Donald J. Trump. ♦
