Today New York Attorney General Letitia James filed a civil lawsuit accusing Trump and members of his family of financial fraud and referring them to federal prosecutors and the IRS for criminal investigation.

Trump now faces legal peril in three separate cases, this one in New York, one in Georgia over his efforts to overturn the 2020 election, and one regarding the classified materials seized by the FBI at Mar-a-Lago.

Axios notes that “Trump’s business practices and finances have come under intense scrutiny at the federal, state and congressional levels in the seven years since he entered the political scene… But the DA’s investigation has thus far failed to ensnare Trump himself.”

In case you were wondering when things might get even stranger than they already are, let’s spend a few minutes to talk about Trump’s latest rally, which took place in Youngstown, Ohio on Saturday night.

Now most of Trump’s rallies have their weird moments, of course, but what made this particular rally even stranger than usual is that during Trump’s closing monologue, which was spoken over dramatic music, a mesmerized crowd raised their hands in a very odd salute.

For those of us who believe that Trump is the Antichrist, or at least suspect that he might be, we often ponder the question of when he might return to power. Would it be after he wins the 2024 election, or could it be sooner?

But, interestingly, it’s not just those of us who think Trump is the Antichrist who are wondering about his return date, because there are also tens of millions of Trump supporters who are equally convinced that he will return to power.

Even more than that, there are Christian preachers who tell their followers that Trump was indeed chosen by God, and if not for a stolen election, Trump would be in the White House right now.

Personally, I always found it a bit odd that God would choose Trump to be president, and yet didn’t have the power to overcome a stolen election and have His chosen man stay in office. But, that’s just me.

For those of us who are interested in bible prophecy, and more specifically how it relates to the Antichrist, we can easily find thousands upon thousands of YouTube videos which talk about these things. And a lot of those videos are very well made.

However, within those videos, and especially within the comments on those videos, there is one description of the Antichrist that seems to be repeated more than any other. And the sad part is, it’s NOT based on anything the bible says. It’s simply a myth.

Since Donald J. Trump burst onto the political scene about 7 years ago, it seems a day never goes by without hearing his name or seeing his face. The media can’t get enough of him, while millions of Americans just want him to go away.

But in addition to his name and image being ubiquitous in the media, his shadow looms large over the American political landscape, despite the fact that he is no longer in office.

In fact, Trump’s political influence is so remarkable that not only do candidates on the right view his endorsement as the proverbial golden ticket to their future, many emulate him as much as possible – often to an extreme.

Yesterday we saw President Biden give a speech in which he painted Trump and the MAGA movement as representing extremism, with conservatives widely panning his remarks as further dividing America.

Trump, of course, continues to demonstrate an abject willingness to sow discord and divide America in order to elevate himself, but Biden’s words last night did nothing to heal that division, and in fact he made it worse.

While many elements of extremism certainly exist within the MAGA movement as a whole, and many extremist groups seem to be naturally attracted to Trump, there are tens of millions of normal Americans who generally identify with the America First ideology.

When Donald J. Trump burst onto the political scene a few years back, his outrageous behavior and bombastic personality dominated media coverage like no one else ever had.

Soon the media began reacting to Trump’s over-the-top style with their own over-the-top coverage to what he said. While Trump’s political opponents on the right attempted to fight back, they quickly withered against this force of nature.

On the left, the democrats adopted the approach of hating anything and everything Trump said or did, in an effort to paint him as this deranged and immature individual who would eventually destroy America.

Trump supporters, seizing on those reactions to Trump by the democrats and the media, coined a new term: TDS, or Trump Derangement Syndrome. In their eyes, the Left and the MSM could not look at Trump objectively because of how crazy he drove them.
