Trump is America, and America is Trump

In just the latest example of how Donald Trump loves getting worshiped, yesterday on Truth Social he posted an all-caps “WOW – THANK YOU!” response to a short video of a crowd cheering him at a FlashPoint Live conference.

Just to drive the point home, a little while later Trump also quoted his own comment, in case anyone missed it the first time. Here’s the video he’s so proud of, and see if you notice what I did.

So, yet again we see how quickly a crowd of Christians cheering for Trump will easily transition into chants of USA, USA, as they toss aside their faith in favor of their golden idol and their own ultra-patriotism.

I’ve spoken several times before about this witch’s brew of faith, patriotism and Trump as being a substantial part of Christianity today. And it’s growing exponentially, as even those who preach God’s word are routinely mixing in references to America and politics into their sermons.

The FlashPoint Live video that Trump posted apparently was from an event that took place on Thursday, October 20^th, and out of curiosity, I glanced at their mission statement to see what they had to say about faith, patriotism and politics. Here’s what I read:

“FlashPoint LIVE events are where patriots and believers from around the nation can unite as never before under the common cause of Love—for country, for our God—taking a stand for our nation! There is something special that happens when thousands come together for a night of information, encouragement, mobilization and faith!”

It did seem a bit odd to me that they would list love for country before God, but their statement brings home how so many Christians are polluting their faith with politics and patriotism. They have this over-the-top love for America – and now see one specific man as symbolizing America.

I’d like to play a short clip from a video I did a few months back, and how not too long ago there was one infamous man whose name was also synonymous with his own country. Here’s that clip.
