10 Ways Trump Mocks Jesus

In a recent video I talked about how Trump seems to be mocking bible prophecy with some of his statements on Truth Social and in his speeches. In a few moments I want to get into WHY Trump may be doing those things, and if he really believes in the bible.

First, however, I wanted to briefly cover 10 additional ways that Trump mimics Jesus, either by the words he speaks, his actions, or even his body language. The reason these things bear mentioning is that there is a two-fold meaning to the word Antichrist.

Not only does “Antichrist” mean one who opposes all that Christ stands for, but it also means one who seeks to replace Christ in the hearts and minds of believers. He is against Christ but also at the same time, he becomes the false, replacement Christ.

So, with that in mind, here are those 10 additional ways that Trump mimics Jesus.

1) Arms outstretched – One of the more common gestures Trump makes is to hold his arms outstretched as if imitating Jesus on the cross. Trump has done this over, and over, and over, and over again, often even doing this in front of an Evangelical audience.

2) The Mark of “T” – In addition to his tendency to imitate Jesus on the cross with his body language, Trump also uses a symbol that bears a striking resemblance TO the cross. His “T” symbol is marked on a myriad of his products and buildings all around the world.

3) The sacrificial lamb – Whenever he is accused of wrongdoing, Trump has repeatedly described himself as completely innocent and blameless, and of even being persecuted like no one has ever been. He portrays himself as the one who takes all the slings and arrows FOR his supporters.

4) The savior – As if mimicking Jesus on the cross, having a symbol almost identical to the cross AND casting himself as the sacrificial lamb weren’t all enough, Trump has also promoted himself as literally being America’s savior. The blasphemy of this seems to somehow escape his Christian supporters.

5) World peace – Trump has promoted the idea that only HE can bring peace to the world. In fact, this happens after Jesus returns: “… they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.”

6) Infallibility – Trump often claims that he has always turned out to be right on every issue, and his supporters have even adopted the WWTD motto, standing for “What Would Trump Do?” If that sounds familiar, it’s because WWJD famously stands for “What Would Jesus Do?”

7) Bringing judgment – Trump is fond of saying how he will bring his various enemies to justice when he returns. He has even told an audience of Christians that he is their retribution, whereas the bible clearly states that vengeance belongs to the Lord.

8) His reward will be with him – In a number of posts on Truth Social, Trump has reiterated how having him back in power will make everything better, rewarding those who have been loyal to him. This mimics Revelation, in which Jesus says “And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.”

9) The only name given to us – The most consistent claim of Trump over the last few years is that he is the only one who CAN save us. He has repeatedly stated “I alone can fix it” and that only he can save America. The bible tells us that the only name given to us by which we are saved is Jesus.

10) Trump’s I AM – We have to simply listen to Trump speak to notice how many times he specifically uses the phrase “I am” in reference to his own attributes, his own accomplishments, his own intentions, and to glorify himself.

Let’s get back to WHY would Trump do and say things that would seem to mock, or at the very least, mimic bible prophecy and specifically Jesus Christ? What are the reasons behind this?

In determining why Trump would drop these hints of bible prophecy and mimic Jesus in so many ways, there is one thing to remember first: he has already said that he doesn’t seek God’s forgiveness, and even sarcastically asked WHY should he seek forgiveness if he hadn’t made any mistakes.

That statement is important because bible prophecy is all about the return of our savior Jesus Christ, and Trump denying a need FOR a savior tells us that he doesn’t truly believe what the bible says. He is clearly and unapologetically denying the Father and the Son.

One obvious explanation for his Truth Social posts is that Trump has people in his inner circle who are suggesting these things to him. In fact, a couple of people close to Trump are known to occasionally post on Truth Social under his name.

In a recent article, Axios reported that less than half of Trump’s posts on Truth Social are his. Instead, he often dictates other posts, or they are written by senior campaign advisers and his communications director.

But even if the references to bible prophecy in his Truth Social posts are coming from his inner circle, rather than him, it still wouldn’t explain his tendency to mimic Jesus in so many ways. If he truly doesn’t believe he needs a savior, why is imitating the traits and characteristics of Jesus?

At the beginning of this video I talked about how the Antichrist isn’t just opposed to Christ, but he also seeks to replace Christ. And that is undoubtedly at least part of what’s happening here.

Trump seems to naturally gravitate towards the idea of having others be exceedingly loyal to him, to the point of worship. This is one of the reasons he lauds foreign dictators, as he perceives them ruling with an iron fist over a kingdom of loyal subjects.

Over the last few years Trump has become more and more aware of how Christians not only worship Jesus, but of their loyalty TO Jesus. They admire Jesus in so many ways, and look forward to the day when he returns.

Trump wants this for himself. He craves for this same type of worship and loyalty that Christians bestow upon Jesus. He may not believe that Jesus is HIS savior, but he is seeking to replace Jesus in the hearts and minds of his followers.

In addition to the overwhelming desire for loyalty and to be worshiped, there’s also a darker force at play – either behind Trump, or part and parcel of his personality.

In fact, over the years we’ve had numerous people talk not just about how exceedingly vain or dishonest or vile Trump is, but how they believed he was truly evil.

For example, Tony Schwartz was the ghostwriter on Trump’s “Art of the Deal”, and he said this: “Trump is not only willing to lie, but he doesn’t get bothered by it, doesn’t feel guilty about it, isn’t preoccupied by it. There’s an emptiness inside Trump. There’s an absence of a soul.”

Schwartz added: “Trump is the most purely evil human being I’ve ever met.”

Another example is General John Kelly, who served as White House Chief of Staff from July 2017 to January 2019. Kelly referred to Trump as “a very, very evil man” after recounting a story in which Trump made explicit sexual comments about his own daughter.

So we’re not only dealing with a man who is mimicking Jesus in his words and actions, and who is envious of the loyalty and devotion Christians have toward Jesus, but a man who has a profound darkness to his very being.

Trump is not a particularly smart man, but he’s smart enough to know that the vast majority of his supporters love and worship Jesus Christ. And he wants all of this love and worship… for himself.
